Maria Williams is the Broker/ Owner for RELIABLE REALTY DR and is a U.S. licensed Realtor originally from Michigan, now living and working in the far eastern tip of the Dominican Republic known as Punta Cana (El Cortecito/ Bavaro area).   Maria has been a licensed Realtor since 2005.  and is in good standing with the U.S. National Association of Realtors, with continued affiliation with Century 21 in West Michigan.  Maria’s primary clients (both sellers and buyers) are English speaking from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

Because of the popularity of the Punta Cana area, and the personal one on one attention provided, Maria is selective with the clients she represents. Her primary clients (both sellers and buyers) are English speaking from the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom who have traveled to this area before and are now seriously considering a real estate purchase.

Reliable Reality only represents reputable developers and sellers; promoting newly constructed/ or under construction condos (apartments), villas (or single family homes), exceptional resale properties with title (or in the process of achieving title). Todd Williams primarily handles the Property Management aspects of the business called  “RELIABLE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SERVICES” which specializes in the entire management and booking for short to mid-term (3 months or less) vacation rental properties, many of which are initially purchased by owners for the primary purposes of obtaining a better return on their investments. Real Estate buying clients also enjoy the benefit of staying in their own property whenever they choose to do so.  Todd is a Tool and Die Operations Manager by trade, and additionally owned and managed several rental properties in the U.S.  What started out to be a hobby in the U.S. has grown into a full-time profession here in Punta Cana.

Todd & Maria have traveled all over parts of the U.S., the Caribbean, South and Central America and have consistently navigated back to this amazing country because of its beautiful beaches, low crime, affordable real estate, and friendly mix of people from all over the world.  In mid 2008 Todd and Maria decided to make Punta Cana their second home for the primary purpose of assisting others in achieving successful real estate and rental endeavours.

WHY Punta Cana?  
Friends and family say we’re brave… but, why not live on a Tropical Island that offers so much beauty, affordability, and opportunity? For several years prior to selecting the Dominican Republic, Maria researched and compared various Caribbean markets (government, history, infrastructure, the people, real estate, weather, economic conditions, safety, etc… etc…), … She even physically interviewed Brokers at brand agencies in Costa Rica, Panama and Puerto Rico (where Maria’s mother is originally from), … then ultimately, concluded Punta Cana was indeed the next "Caribbean Haven."

With Maria’s several years of real estate experience, her International Sales and Marketing background, combined with Todd’s experience in Operations and Property Management… they are excited about showing their clients how to make a better return on their money, compared to what they may currently be making elsewhere.

Biography: Maria has an international Marketing degree along with 28 years combined experience in sales, marketing, customer service, project management and small business ownership.  She enjoys art, photography, golf, and various water sports including swimming, boating and scuba diving. Maria also enjoys traveling abroad with her husband Todd and playing with their 6 lb. Pomeranian dog named Amber (who came with them from the States).  When Maria finds time for leisure, she enjoys catching up with friends and family throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Our ultimate goals are to assist in supporting fundraising efforts for local schools. The spaying/ neutering & vaccination efforts of the kind and passive homeless dogs. And public awareness / education efforts pertaining to waste and recycling resolutions.

Maria is the proud mother of two married and successful children, and six beautiful grandchildren.

Maria’s son Michael is currently serving his 11th year in the U.S. Air Force.  Michael represents the 5th generation of service men & women in her family. Michael is a Tech Sergeant and
Aircraft Maintenance Air Advisor currently serving in Shindand Air Force Base in, Afghanistan until May, 2012. Immediately after this tour, Mike will be training new Cadets at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.

Maria’s “Claim to Fame”… While serving in the U.S. Army, Maria was selected to meet with Former President, Jimmy Carter in 1980, Maria’s suggestion to allow service men and women to wear tennis shoes, V.S. standardized military boots during extensive training was implemented throughout most U.S. bases world-wide.  This has since led to more consideration in customization of military footwear, vital to the health and well-being of our troops.
